Good location convenient to Florence, Decatur and Huntsville. Campground was clean and restrooms/showers were above average. Lots of kids riding bicycles and such. Good golf course also a part of state park. Lodge had fast Wi-Fi. Biggest negative was one of the campground hosts. Their site looked like a 3rd rate trailer park with all kinds of stuff piled around. Everyone else is required to keep their pets on a leash, but host let their big dog out every morning to run around the campground alone, take care of business, causing a lot of barking and problems for those of us trying to walk our dogs properly.

What a sad situation. A once beautiful park being allowed to deteriorate as this one has should be illegal. The lake is practically empty due to problems with the lake bed that haven't been addressed. The roads are deplorable. Leaking water lines in the newer parts of the campground. That being said, the restroom/shower building we were near was practically new, and was very clean. All ceramic tile. our site was what should have been lakeside, and was really nice. The staff were all very nice. It is just a shame that the state of Mississippi has allowed this park, situated as it is on the Natchez Trace, to get in such deplorable condition.

A nice state park. Rate reflects price for one of 4 full hookup sites with sewer. 50 amp only receptacles on those, so bring your adapter if you have 30 amp plug and want full hookup. W/E sites are 30 amp only. Bath houses were dated but clean. Great paved hiking/ biking trails throughout the park with some fantastic views of the lake. Great golf course as part of park, also.

Nice campground convenient to everything around Mountain View and surrounding area. Staff very accommodating. Some of the older, shaded sites are really small with little extra space to park the tow vehicle. Sites were gravel, but looked as if drainage was good. Restrooms old, but clean. Would stay again.

Older park, with some really nice sites, and some you wouldn't want. We had a short pull through in the older, original part of the park. Slightly unlevel, but no real problems. Restrooms and showers were clean. Trains no problem. Would stay here again.

Nice campground. Just spent one night but would return if in the area. Staff was accommodating with directions and such. Showers were clean. A lot of semi-permanent RV'S, but all were well kept. Looked more like a RV timeshare park than a regular RV Park.

Nice state park. Good sites with access to walking/bike path alongside lake, and room to park tow. Plenty of shade. Restroom/showers were a mess the three days we were there. We left early in the morning and didn't get back until late each day, so it could be that they were cleaned properly but trashed before we used them. Dirt and sand everywhere, even on the sinks. Also could use some better ventilation, especially in the Summer. Would probably stay here again.

Very nice campground. Beautiful area with many great hikes and wildlife viewing opportunities. Few amenities, except toilets and lavatories. Plenty of quiet time from generators. Much history associated with area, also. Be sure and try the pies from the CG store, as well as dine at the Cafe Diablo in Torrey if you have the time, and a few extra bucks. Well worth it. Would stay here again.

Nice park a few miles from town. Very quiet area, nestled along a creek. The wi-fi worked only up the hill at the office while we were there, but was told would be in all the campground in a few days. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again.

Agree with everything previous poster said. Very nice staff. Convenient route to downtown area. Wi-fi was wall to wall at our site, best we've ever encountered. Would stay here again.

As others have said, nothing extraordinary about this park, but the general area is wonderful if you like red rock country. All sites are paved and some have shade. Individual shower rooms were clean. The hike from the park up into the petrified forest area is great. Much to see in the surrounding area. Be sure to stop at local BLM visitor center in town for maps and information. Would definitely stay here again.

First off, don't arrive in Moab on a Friday without a reservation. That is how we found ourselves here. Everything else in town was full. This is a very old, dusty, stinky, close, campground. To call it an RV park is a misnomer. Most campers are tenters with bikes, jeeps, and fourwheelers. The sites are approximately 4 feet apart. They allow campfires which are left smoldering at night and make sleeping without the windows closed and the AC on impossible. Did I mention AC? The power fluctuates with each RV joining the loop and you have to decide which is the worse, smelling the various odors while you try to sleep, or burn up the compressor on your AC. The restrooms/showers smelled! The staff were nice folks and the wi-fi worked only at the office. Would only stay here aqain if it was the last resort.

I rate this a typical NPS campground except for the electricity. Sites were adequate but not private. There's lots of dirt and dust. Those are the negatives. There are beautiful views from campground. The staff was wonderful. There's plenty to do in a lot of different directions. Restrooms were very clean, considering the use they received. Would stay here again.

This is a nice park about halfway between Montrose and Ridgeway. Sites are gravel with a little grass in between. Staff was very nice, and really knowledgable about the area. Wi-fi worked fine from our site which was quite a ways from office. This is a Passport America park. We would definitely stay here again.

A great forest service campground. It's divided into 2 sections, I prefer the Western side. Paved sites with enough vegetation in between to give privacy. Has a very nice double dump station. Beautiful area just a few miles from Bryce Canyon. Be sure and visit National Forest Visitor Center just west of Campground. They have maps of the area along with much more.

I rate this park for what it is, a place to spend the night. I found it was a little tight on the smaller sites, but it also had a number of pull through sites for the big rigs which seemed to have plenty of room. From what we saw on a drive through town, this is the best choice. The showers and restrooms were clean. We arrived and picked our site per the note on the door, and paid when the owner arrived later in the day. Wi-fi and cable worked fine at our site. Would stay here again.

A beautiful NFS campground just 7 miles from the entrance to the North Rim. It is presently being run by a concessionaire who has the nearby lodge. Restaurant and Wi-Fi access available there. Sites are gravel with different sizes and parking options. Pit toilets. No dump station.

Park is a gravel parking lot. Sites are close together. Wi-fi works only in office area, and is very slow, even there. All things said, it is probably the best value for visiting the Caverns.

Nice park. Nothing outstanding, but clean park close to town, with easy access to the hill country. The rest rooms and showers were clean and the staff was very accommodating. Nice walk down to the river from campground. Burro's really like corn chips.

Nice park in a desolate area. Staff was very accommodating. Best place for day trips into Big Bend National Park. Our site had a number of nails and wood screws scattered around the site, but picked up all we saw and had no flat tires after out departure. Considered ourselves, lucky. The Burnt Biscuit is worth the stop. Passport America park.

A beautiful park. Closer to Wynn, Arkansas; than Forrest City. Staff was very accommodating. Restrooms were clean, but the showers could have used a few more hooks for towels and clothing. Rate was for a Water and Electric site in lower campground. All sites there were well spread out, although all were back in. Plenty of things for the outdoor lover including bike trails, hiking, fishing, and etc.I would definitely stay here again.

A nice park with plenty of room. Near interstate, and easy to get on and off. I Agree with most everything other posters have said. The only weird thing is that you have to have a reservation to use Passport America. I would stay here again.

Very congested park. Our site was a dirt back-in with standing water for two days. Restrooms and showers were clean, but area outside the doors were very dirty. Office staff were nice, and helpful with information. Would stay here again, as I suspect most all parks in area are close to the same, if not worse, with all the traffic they get each Summer.

A place to spend the night(hopefully). A gravel parking lot with W/E. Pet area is raw dirt. High intensity flood lights fill your RV with yellow light, even with shades pulled. Restrooms were dirty in the morning. Apparently a lot of semi-permanent residents work in the oil patch or wherever and use facilities. Less bang for the buck than any park we have ever stayed in. Would only stay here again if no other option available.

It is what it is. A place to park an RV with full hookups in the middle of Yellowstone. Our site was in B loop with plenty of room for our trailer. Even had satelite reception on my portable dish. Saw a wolf (not a cayote) out the camper window one morning. That's worth 39 bucks. Would stay here again, and again...etc.

Located about 14 miles south of town on Hwy 115. Very nice area. Hiking trail up the mountain. Our site was slightly unlevel, but not a major problem. Washed gravel sites and most are shaded to some extent. Lots of deer around, even two bucks fighting in a vacant site near ours one evening as we grilled out. We stayed two days and had no complaints. Wifi worked fine at our site near entrance. As other poster said. No large playground of amusement park nearby, but a very nice park to use as a base for exploring the area. We would stay here again.

Good location, border of RMNP. A lot of dead and dying trees due to beetle infestation. We stayed in what was called the meadow, which was a large field with hookups. Very unlevel, but able to move forward or back in our site to level up with the help of a few blocks. Staff were very good. Plenty of wildlife opportunities, along with horseback and atv trail rides. Adjoining national forest land on rear of campground. Would stay here again.

Great park for an overnight or longer. Convenient to Interstate and downtown area. Also a downtown shuttle ran throughout the park a number of times each night while we were there. Restrooms were spotless. Peter is a workhorse who seems to really enjoy running his park. No shade, so it may get hot in Summer.

Very nice overnight stop. A few of miles north of town, and a couple of miles off Interstate, but still convenient enough. Restrooms and showers were great. Wifi was weak at campsite near restrooms, but worked fine at the office. Good CATV lineup. Would stay here again.

Good park. Site was unlevel but not a major problem. Staff was good. Wifi at cabin rental office. Restaurant very overpriced. Everything else fine. Laundry and small grocery on site. Great view of Jackson Lake and Teton's a short hike from park. Would stay here again.

This campground is managed by the National Forest Service and is in poor shape. It was probably a beautiful facility years ago but has had very little maintenance for a long time. The roads are rutted and a lot of the sites have erosion problems. The water is tagged as non-potable due to some type mineral contamination. The restrooms and showers were acceptable. Also near a railroad which has a coal train about every 30 minutes throughout most of the night. I would pass on this one in the future if at all possible.

Great park for overnight on the Natchez Trace. No amenities of any kind other than drinking water and restrooms. We actually stayed in the picnic area as the campground was already full when we arrived around 4pm. Check with the store at the entrance to campground for permission to use picnic area.

Campground was mostly empty. Very few level sites. Most sites are high front to rear or rear to front. Bath house was showing age, but was clean. 10 PM quiet time not enforced. Loud vehicles entering and leaving park well after midnight. Would stay again.

This was our first visit to this campground, and we found it to be as previously described. We stayed in the "new" campground, which had level concrete pads spaced reasonably well apart. It seemed to be the choice of most travelers, and was nearest to the lake. The "old" campground appeared to have more extended stay use, but was closer to the entrance by a couple of miles. The bathhouse in the new campground could have used a good cleaning of the mildew, and a coat of paint. While it wasn't filthy, it could have been much better. The doors on the showers had no latches and there were very few hooks or shelves to place clothes, soap, etc. on. It appeared that a lot of the campers in this campground were like us, and traveling the Natchez Trace. We saw folks from the Midwest, Northeast, Ontario and Colorado while there for 2 days. If this was the only state park they visited in Mississippi, they received a very poor impression of the state park system.

Outstanding facility. Air conditioned bath houses nicer than resort campgrounds. Only drawback, it has very little shade due to hurricane of a few years ago. Otherwise it would be a 10.

Very nice park. Camped in upper campground. Most sites required considerable leveling but otherwise was a nice place to stay for a couple of days loafing in the area. Small Amish community just to the north of town.

Great National Forest campground. Beautiful shaded sites, some with decks overlooking the hills and the lake. Bike trails through the forest with plenty of hiking available also. Feels as if you are in the mountains rather than deep down in Dixie. We will stay there every chance we get.
